Our Story

Dabar Energy started their journey in 2009 as a division of a JSE listed corporation; tasked with addressing rising energy costs in the group. This was triggered by the MYPD 1 (Multi Year Price Determination) announcement by NERSA which caused electricity costs in South Africa to double during the period 2009 to 2011.

Dabar Energy (Pty) Ltd first saw the light in 2016, thanks to MD, Harold Burgess & Business Development Manager, Gerhard Kotzee acquiring the existing projects and energy division from the JSE listed corporation.

Harold & Gerhard recognised and grabbed the opportunity to further develop and expand the business based on  the holistic offering around sustainable energy, water & air solutions.

To benefit our customers across some of the most important economic sectors in South Africa with sustainability solutions that are practical, sensible and jargon free. In the process we deliver cost-effective and successful projects while having some fun along the way.
