Jakoo has 25 years’ experience as an Electronics Engineer in the design, manufacturing and exporting of electronic products and components. Jakoo has extensive experience in the use of software tools for the development of the hardware and software of electronic control systems. Jakoo was a group leader for The Helium Test Facility, at the Pebble Bed Modular Reactor (PBMR) program.
- As owner of JRD Electronics, a semi-automated electronic manufacturing plant, Jakoo was responsible for the design, development and manufacturing processes according to the ISO 9000:2000 quality assurance standard.
- Development, manufacturing and exportation to Europe of electronic medical devices under standards ISO 14971 and ISO 9000:2000 quality assurance.
- Design, development and implementation of a preventative maintenance system for soft drink coolers for Coca Cola.
- Patented, designed, developed and manufactured vending machines for distribution of commodities, enabling users to process cash transactions via the internet.
- Designed, developed and manufactured a control room based alarm system for Telkom, used for the prevention of copper cable theft.
