An extremely sought after bird, the Pel’s fishing owl, remains one of the highlights on any birder’s viewing list. It is known to communicate over very long distances (up to three kilometres) and they roost deep in shade of leafy trees, making them very difficult to spot. Owls are smart hunters, equipped with unique abilities, allowing them to monitor, analyse and accurately predict behavioural patterns of prey.
