Waldo has 20+ years’ experience as Design Engineer for Howden Donkin and Howden Engart, focussing on the design of rotating and ventilation equipment. Waldo was Business Unit Manager of Howden Engart and General Manager of James Howden Holdings. Waldo has experience in manufacturing, engineering and project management. From an energy perspective, heat transfer and equipment efficiency is a specialist skill.
- Developed a wet scrubber range from first principles, including fan impeller for coal transfer-point scrubbing in the USA.
- Being part of the design team for various green and brownfields’ process plant projects.
- Working with Joy Mining and completing computational fluid dynamics calculations for the introduction of new products into a new mining environment.
- Testing various types of plant equipment, especially fans, and reporting on their part in a process or ventilation system.
- Development of a residential geyser product range for a large local manufacturer.
