Based in Louis Trichardt, this milk and dairy product producer is dependent on electricity as one of their key energy sources. A long-term energy road map was developed which includes various stages that all form part of a 10-year energy strategy.
Due to very consistent base load demand profiles, the high cost of electricity and also supported by the long-term nature of the operation, it was decided to design and install a solar PV solution that optimally suits the electricity profile. The system was integrated with the farming operation to allow for future expansion and the addition of complementary technologies in future as financial viability dictates.
