Utility meters formed the basis of the work done to successfully obtain significant water account credits from the local municipality at this Alberton plant. The installation of utility water meters allowed for historical municipal billing errors to be corrected and credited.
Electricity metering provided the necessary information to support management decisions to optimise production processes and reduce electricity costs. Energy efficiency was further improved by exchanging CFL lighting technology with LED lighting technology across the entire production facility resulting in a diminishing of the carbon footprint of the plant.
