Water in South Africa is a relatively cheap resource considering that we are generally situated in a drier geographic climate. Ongoing development and population growth is however placing pressure on water resources with very few bulk water opportunities remaining untapped. The price of water for industrial applications in particular can be expected to rise significantly above inflation in future. Rates in 2021 typically range between R16/kl to R70/kl at industrial consumer level. Water account trend analysis and bulk water mass balancing services are offered to determine if there are any obvious water losses that are occurring and if any costs can be reduced for customers. Water consumption of customers are compared to industry averages to further determine if particular clients are using more or less water than required.
