Solar PV designs are done having established the load profile of a customer, together with any particular requirements as stipulated by the customer or as dictated by the environment. Successful solar PV installations are dependent on accurate designs and a range of factors needs to be considered. These factors include, together with the above-mentioned load profiles and requirements: the geographical location; the installation infrastructure specification (roof mount or ground mount); the various distances from connection points; and a variety of other factors. Poorly designed solar PV systems translate into poorly performing solar plants.
