Power factor correction calculations

About this service

Poor power factor in electrical AC circuits (ratio of real power absorbed by the load to the apparent power flowing in the circuit) brings about significant additional costs to electricity consumers under most industrial tariff structures. The result of a poor power factor is that the maximum demand cost which is billable in kVAs consumed, is increased by the actual ratio that exist between the actual and apparent power. We measure and calculate this ratio, determine a solution and calculate the financial impact.
